A Valentine for You
I see you.
I’ve heard some of your stories. The scenes remain with me.
I caught your brilliance, marveled at your resilience and
soaked in your essence.
I have been amazed.
I noticed the innocent four year old you were.
A flash of the wise, eighty-five year old you was there, too.
I have watched how you shine. I’ve seen where you’re hurt.
It is a privilege to share the grief and joys, anger and mess,
dreams and disappointments with you.
And I am sharing the hope with you that “all will be well and all
shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well”.
(Mother Julian of Norwich)
I want you to know it is a joy to behold you.
You are loved.
